Having purchased a small industrial unit in Portland Weymouth, Silent Planet employed Connect Storage Systems to design, manage and install a full turnkey solution for their diving related business.

This included a mezzanine floor containing offices, toilet, wet-room, workshop and kitchenette with a reception and storeroom below. The large wet-room for wash-down and repair of wetsuits was a particularly challenging element as it was stationed on the first floor and required a fully waterproof and sloping floating-floor for adequate water drainage.

Space planning was also key to achieving the compact first floor layout with all rooms and reception being seamlessly integrated into the existing industrial unit which was just an empty shell before we started.

This successful project, with logistics consultancy provided by David Wallace, led on to an additional 4 x different fit outs and mezzanines for other companies in the same new small industrial estate in preparation for the sailing events of the 2012 Olympics in Portland.
